We all have memories of creating moodboards, whether from our own hands or the pages of a magazine.. But I think there is such a place for it in our adult lives.

Not only are they fun to make, but they are a powerful tool to visualise your minds’ desires, or in this case, inspire us to continue down our most aligned path. Though we, ourselves, are supposed to be our own biggest cheerleader in life, it can be so impactful to use the love and energy from our community to help inspire and encourage us. Transforming the messages we receive from our community into a tangible visual representation can help embolden us to believe in ourselves more. When feeling low, you can revisit your moodboard and remember your purpose.
At this phase of my life, I welcome all the encouragement I can gather. As I craft my own board—a blend of encouragement and vision, channeling the present and future goals—I wanted to share my inspiration and prompts to help you start dreaming up your own.
Welcome to a space where positivity, inspiration, and encouragement come together to lift your spirits and motivate you to achieve your goals. An encouragement board is more than just a collection of images and words; it's a personal sanctuary of hope, dreams, and reminders of your potential. Let's explore how to create an encouragement board that resonates with your unique journey and aspirations.
What is an Encouragement Board?
An encouragement board is a visual and emotional representation of the positive affirmations, goals, and inspirations that keep you motivated. It serves as a daily reminder of your strengths, achievements, and the dreams you're working towards.
Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Your Encouragement Board Step 1: Reflect on Your Moodboard’s Purpose
What would you like your encouragement board to focus on? Some ideas could be:
Fitness goals
Career hopes
Travel plans
Wedding planning
Money goals
…or simply, you want to create a collage that encourages you to find joy and purpose in life. Any of these reasons are totally valid ones for creating your moodboard.
Step 2: Gather Your Materials
Before you start assembling your board, take some time to reflect on what inspires and motivates you. Consider the following:
Messages (screenshots) of encouragement from the people in your orbit. If you remember them but don't have them written down, jot them down yourself.
A place to design (Canva, Word, Photoshop, etc.)
Achievements and milestones you're proud of
Imagery of signs you look for from the universe when you need guidance or clarity
Quotes or affirmations that uplift you
Photos of things that bring you joy (can be loved ones, places, etc.)
Additional imagery of feelings or thinking you want to embody. Think of your future self - what comes to mind when you think of them? Where do they live, what do they do, how to they act, etc
Personal goals and dreams

Step 3: Arrange Your Board
Start arranging your collected elements on the board. There’s no right or wrong way to do this – let your creativity flow! Group similar items together or create sections for different aspects of your life, such as career, relationships, and personal growth.
Step 4: Letting It Influence Your Habits
Place your board where you’ll see it often. The goal is to have a constant visual reminder of what keeps you going. This ensures it makes a continued impression and motivates you to achieve your goals. Position it in a relevant location—for example, near your desk for work goals or by your front door for travel dreams.

Tips for Keeping Your Encouragement Board Fresh
Update Regularly: As you grow and your goals evolve, update your board to reflect your current aspirations and inspirations.
Stay Positive: Focus on positive images and affirmations. Your board should be a source of joy and motivation.
Interact Daily: Spend a few minutes each day looking at your board and absorbing its messages. Let it guide your thoughts and actions.

Conclusion
Creating an encouragement board is a powerful way to stay connected to your dreams, maintain a positive mindset, and rewrite your personal narrative. By changing the story we tell ourselves, we create new neural pathways of encouragement, inviting our subconscious to feel safe in accepting this new identity. As we step into this new identity, more encouragement will appear, and evidence of your new reality will start to manifest.
Happy creating!
